The Week S.O.F.A.R.

Check out the links below - as highlighted this week on Facebook.

Obama calls Georgetown lawstudent attacked, by Rush Limbaugh, to offer support President Obama personally called Sandra Fluke to make sure she was okay after the terrible personal attack by Rush Limbaugh

Plus size models - Up Close and Personal (Images) Sad thing, in my opinion, is I look at these women and don't see "plus-size" at all. They are gorgeous women who fashion sees as larger than normal.

Blacks and gays: The shared struggle for civil rights "It’s an issue of civil rights, as you said. It’s an issue of equality. It’s an issue of equal treatment under the law....No one is asking for special rights. No one is asking for any kind of special favors."

Urban Outfitter's St. Patrick's Day Merchandise Offends Irish I'm sure some think that this is funny. Others will probably criticize people being too P.C. but replace "Black" or "Gay" here and you'd have a shitstorm on your hands. Also, this is offensive not only to Irish, but also sets up the wearer to possible assault and unwanted touch because "they were asking for it"...No?

6 Completely Outdated Relationship Rules You Should Ignore I have to be honest. I don't think I've ever believed or followed any of these rules. So... Yay me! ;)

Cause and Effect: How the Media You Consume Can Change Your Life (video)

International Woman's Day: Why 'Rock the Lips'?  I hadn't heard about this campaign until today. While I love the idea it is sad that these campaigns are not more organized or thought through in regards to spreading awareness and knowledge about the issue they are (trying to) represent.
