If you've been following my blog (or know me as a person) you may be aware I have a thing for pin-ups. However, what you may not know is that the interest is on many levels.
There's the interest in the history of pin-up girls being a phenomenia as early as the late 1890s, through the World Wars and the way it has (for good or bad) into the centerfold models we know today.
There's the evolution of the "pin-up fashion" becoming accessible to anyone and the emergence of a sub-culture of modern (everyday) pin-up girls.
There's the fashion itself (which I just love) and the exciting challenge of adapting it into my plus-size wardrobe.
I even love that no two pin-ups are alike. It's not just an external image or appearance but there's also an inner confidence and attitude of empowerment that (self/world) proclaimed pin-up girls have.
And really let's not forget the sex appeal factor. Because who of us doesn't love to feel sexy.
