I understand not wanting to "identify" with the perpetrator of a hate crime - especially if you claim to be an activist working towards the "greater good". But the truth is privilege is privilege. I may sympathize and feel compassion for for Trayvon and his family. But I do not and can not "IDENTIFY" with him.
